1. I hate putting my hair up.
I don’t know when or how this came to be. As a kid my hair was always up in a ponytail. As I got older, I couldn’t stand my hair up anymore. Now, it’s always down, no matter the heat, rain, or wind. It’s like a security blanket. I feel exposed without the feel of it on my back.
2. I don’t like feet.
Not even the prettiest feet are pretty to me. I hate feet. I hate looking at them, touching them, smelling them. My feet are nice but I can’t even stand touching my own feet. Bleh! I’ve never had a pedicure. I know, crazy. I do my own because I can’t stand people touching my feet. I don’t wear sandals either.
3. I bite my nails.
Well, not as of right now. I bite my nails for a year or two then I let them grow out for a year or two. I hate the nasty habit but it’s hard to stop, but once I do, I’m good. It’s weird. Right now, my nails are nice and long and will be for some time, then I will go back to biting them one day. Ugh, the vicious cycle. When I’m in biting mode, I only do it at home after washing my hands and brushing under my nails. 😀
4. I love water!
I drink water all day because *gasp* I like the taste of it. I don’t often drink soda or anything else for that matter. Though, when I have my one soda for the month I always pick rootbeer. But yeah, water is awesome. My doctor says I may be drinking too much water. Ridiculous!
5. I use to never cry, now I cry all the time.
I mean, like NEVER cried. For years, not one tear. I don’t know why, they just never came. Now, my body must have stored them all up because my eyes tear up at everything. When I laugh, when someone is being nice, when I’m mad. It’s crazy. Not the kind of crying where snot is running down my face and I have hiccups because I can’t catch my breath. No, nothing that dramatic. Just silent tears that slowly roll down my face. Or at least shinning, watery eyes. It’s stupid. I hate it. I hate crying.
miki
bitings nails…. i can’t resist either especially when i’m stressed like i am now it’s a disaster ( and for crying ^^ i can get really emotional and cry over nothing ^^;;)
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
I know, I bite and I don’t even notice. I hate it.

I think we all have our little quirks. I hate wet lettuce. It totally grosses me out. I’ve been known to take paper napkins and blot the lettuce before I can put it on my plate when I’m eating at a salad bar or restaurant. Even worse is when a restaurant puts salad dressing on wet lettuce and it looks all goopy on your plate. I just flat out refuse to eat it.
Nathan
I hate salad dressing. I always eat my salads plane. I am also allergic to Gluten. I didn’t used to be but now I am. I liked the cat gif, it reminds me of my water fascinated cats. My cats can often be found inside a empty sink.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Ewwww, you are making me not like wet lettuce now.
kindlemom1
Oh interesting! I have a sister in law who hates feet too. She won’t even touch baby feet!
Let’s see, I’ve never bitten my nails. For some reason it disgusts me thinking about all the germs that might be under there that I can’t see. Plus, I have thin nails so they always break on their own anyways and never get very long. I always wanted thick gorgeous nails.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
My nails are actually nice once they grow out, but the germs do creep me out.
Let's Get Beyond Tolerance
I can cry pretty easily too and I hate it! Sometimes it happens when I’m in a nervous situation, which is SO NOT THE TIME. haha
I like water too but I really need it to be cold. Otherwise, it’s just kind of “bleh” for me. Love that cat gif though!
-Lauren
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Yes, even when I am nervous. it sucks. Cold water is the best.
Christy LoveOfBooks
Dude, when I scrolled down it stopped where it didn’t look like a foot that was being shoved in her mouth. lol. I love water too. It’s pretty much all I drink. People think I’m weird because I drink plain hot water when it’s cold. A couple of my Filipino friends told me I’m like the elderly people in the Philippines because of that. I’m like, thanks … ? lol. Don’t bite your nails!
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
LOL, that’s hilarious! LOL, yeah, like 30 percent of my relatives are Filipino so I know what you mean.
Brandi Breathes Books
I’m the opposite, my hair is almost always up, and I used to cry but now hardly ever do
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Total opposites. 🙂
Anna
I cry a lot too and blame hormones. The worse of it is when I’m so angry my voice goes squeaky and the tears come. I’m basically speechless, and the person I’m mad at misunderstands. They go all sorry I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings when all I want to do (and never would) slap them back.
I feel better, what about you? hehehe
Anna from elements of emaginette
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
LOL, people misunderstand me crying all the time too.
Braine
I’m so with you on 4&5. Sometimes I feel like I’m going crazy because I just break down and cry over the most trivial things!
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
I hate it! Why does my body betray me!
Melissa (Books and Things)
Oh I hate crying. So hate it. Totally the opposite of #1. I always put up my hair. It’s just too hot otherwise. I hate short hair because it always has to be cut, so I like long hair and pull it up.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
I do hate how hot I am all the time, but even that won’t make me put up my hair.
Melliane
It’s fun to know a bit more about you… me? I always touch my hairs, like all the time! And I speak a lot.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Yup, always touching my hair.
Lekeisha
When I see someone biting their nails, I cringe. It just does something to me. Fact: I will kill for orange and lime sherbet. I can’t go a few days without eating even a spoonful. Especially during the summer.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Wow, sherbet, eh? Sherbet is pretty good.
Caro (@TheBookRogue)
1. It’s exactly the other way around for me. I used to have my hair down as a kid, now I can’t stand it. It’s like it’s getting in my way every five seconds, so I always put it up in a bun. x)
2. I don’t like feet very much either, but not to such an extend. I love hands, though.
3. Urgs, not nice. I have killer nails thanks to good genetics, and I love them! It even makes me sad when I have to cut them b/c they get too long to comfortably work with my hands. And I’m never ever going to put fake ones on them again. Horrible experience! However, I heard it’s a good method to condition yourself to stop biting. Maybe you can try it out?
4. I’m down for a soda once a week or so, but I’m content with water, too. However, I do have to mix things up for the taste a bit. Mixing it with juice or putting a lemon or something in it.
5. Ditto. It’s totally weird and it’s kinda pissing me off, but now I get teary eyed waaaaayyy too fast. It’s totally lame… T.T
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Sometimes I even egt teary eyes during an intense action scene and I am like “WTF?” It was nice getting to know you.
Jaclyn Canada
Yes on the feet thing! They are so gross, I don’t care how pretty they are! All of that’s true for me except the sandals part because I have about 40 pairs of flip flops. I’ve never heard of drinking too much water. Is that a thing? I can’t say I like the taste of it but after a Diet Dr. Pepper in the morning, that’s what I drink all day. My mom and son are huge Root Beer fans. That’s what I get sometimes instead of Dr. Pepper. My sis was always the nail biter, but I let mine stay long. I’ll put my index nail in my mouth and nibble sometimes when I’m thinking hard or anxious about something, but I never bite it. I cry when I laugh. I cry when I’m super angry as well. I don’t cry very often for being sad, and when I do I’m by myself. I don’t know what it is but I don’t like being that vulnerable in front of people.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
I agree, I try to cry by myself. If I am around people and my eyes tear up, I am gone. It was nice getting to know you. 🙂
Olivia Roach
I love your posts like these! You’re so interesting 😀 I actually don’t like tap water. I’m okay with drinking water – any kind – as long as it isn’t tap water haha. I also don’t like feet but I do wear sandals so I guess you don’t like them a whole lot more than me!
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
I am not into tap water either. I have a Brita bottle all the time.
Carrie
LOL… you and I have a lot of similarities. I hate people touching my toes. I hate my toes getting wet. I do wear sandals but I have to do my own pedicure for the same reason as you. I can’t stand anyone touching my feet. The crying thing. Never cried. Ever. Now friggin’ Tim Horton’s commercials get to me. I hate putting my hair up too. It shows too much of my face. 🙂
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Right, too much face showing is annoying. 🙂 Ugh, toes, right? Happy we have so much in common.
