Tell Me…Are You Tired?

Tell Me…Are you tired?

So I planned to write a post last night. Yes, I’m still one of those, I don’t plan nor write my posts ahead of time. I write posts the night before I schedule them. It’s just my way. Anyways, I totally was going to write one last night…then I fell asleep on the couch at 8pm. WTF? What is wrong with me? Old age, I tell you. I am that kind of old person, the one that is tired before all the good TV shows are on.

Now, I’m writing this post 15 minutes before I need to go to work because I need to know if anyone else is tired way too freaking early, like me. I mean, come on, 8pm is too early. I have even fallen asleep at 7pm before. Craziness! I do try to go to sleep around 10pm for work, but anytime before that is just too damn early. I feel old!!! And this has been going on for like 2 years! See, right when I turned 30 everything fell apart!

So, what time do you usually fall asleep at night? Do you have the case of ‘old-timer sleeping habits’ like I do? Please share to make me feel better. 🙂

Some days I’m tired ALL THE TIME.

Wake up after 8-9 hours of sleep. Tired.
Finally wake up for a few hours.
    3pm hits. Tired.
Take a shower and wake up a little.
    Pre-dinner time – tired.
    Okay at dinner.
2-3 hours later – tired again.

I would love to be on a schedule where I go to bed around 9-10, but my husband likes to stay up late and then watch something with me, so he kind of forces me to stay up until 12. Grr. I usually then wake up at 9:30.

With school being back in and once again waking up at 5am is definitely making me tired earlier. It wouldn’t be so bad if I could go to bed at a decent time but I’m such a night owl. I don’t want to be in bed before 10 but last night, I was in bed by 9:30 and I know I was asleep by 9:45, I was just exhausted!

First of all and this question is your fault cause you brought up age- How old are you?
Maybe your iron is low. That will make you tired. Now I am old and I can stay up all night if I get to binge watching a really good show or caught up in that book I can’t lay down. I’ve been know to stay up till the sun comes up, go to bed and sleep anywhere from 4 to 9 hours, depending on what’s going on. I’m also just as likely to call it a night between 7 and 8. There seems to be no rhyme or reason anymore for my sleep habits. I can sleep 9 hours and be readying for a nap in 4. Drinking caffeine also doesn’t seem to effect me. Thankfully, retirement has let me indulge in my crazy sleep pattern and boy do I enjoy it!

I really have the worst sleeping habits. Some nights I am asleep at 8pm (like you) and others at 3am and waking up at 6am… I need to sort that out xD

I usually come home and take a nap. So adding in my (at least) 1 hour nap on top my sleeping schedule, I sleep a whole lot. I was hoping working out would help with my energy levels, but no. I can still sleep early and sleep late. One night I came home from work and took a “nap” at 630 and slept straight through to the next day. I am tired.

A friend of mine and I are always joking we’re old ladies because we can go to bed quite early. I’m back and forth. Sometimes I go to bed early – I’ve fallen asleep around 8 before, but it’s usually 9 or 9.30. However, I can also stay up really late sometimes too – if I don’t have to wake up early for work.

I have a very hard time sleeping throughout the night. Not to mention it takes a while for my brain to shut down. So, I usually wake up tired and dragging no matter how long I was in bed. Then, I’m usually in bed by 930pm. I sometimes Skype with my family back on the east coast and they will be all wide awake at 1am, and I’m fighting to keep my eyes open at 10pm my time. LoL So, you’re not alone. I’ve never been a night owl though. I’m more of a mid-day kind of girl. Ha!

I am tired ALL THE TIME. I am looking into some new vitamins to see if that helps at all. I get sleepy tired around nine and usually want to go to bed by 10:30 but don’t usually make it there until 11. Luckily I can sleep until 7 in the mornings.
