Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the book you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual.

I was offered the ARC of Bright Blaze of Magic from the author. Now I just have to read the first two books. lol. I randomly got Atlantis Quest in the mail. Atlantis Rising was decent so I am interested to see what the sequel has to offer.

What books did you get this week? Have you read any of the ones I got?

My Week

I just had the scare of my life. Alone in the house, a bang on the door, then a man grunting near the back of the house (inside the house). Except I checked every inch of this house (with a knife in my hand and on the phone with my mom just in case she had to call the cops for me) and there is no one here. No one outside either. My heart still hurts.

That sounds really scary! I’ve become a bit obsessive about home defence recently, to the point of being paranoid, which doesn’t aid a good night’s sleep. Did you find out what made the noise? That would’ve freaked me out.

  2. Jessica @ a GREAT read

OOh nice! I still need to read the second book to Jennifer’s series! I fell behind, again! LOL! hope you enjoy the first two books and this final book! Nothing like binging a trilogy! At least I think this was a trilogy! LOL! Happy Reading!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

I am hoping it is better than the first book. The first book was good but nothing special.

We use to have a dog but I didn’t have the guts to go through that heartbreak again. Can’t stand animals dying.

    A haunting?

A similar thing happened to me last week minus the grunting. I’m glad you’re safe and it’s nothing serious. Although it is scary, sleep with one eye open!

Oh my gosh, that is so scary! You should call the non-emergency police number and they will send someone out to check your house inside and out and they can and will even patrol your street for the rest of the night. I had a friend who’s husband worked nights and she was frequently scared and had to call numerous times to have this done and they were always so kind to her about it.

    Either way, stay safe!!

Congrats on the books too, I love her Black Blade series so I know the last book will be fantastic! I hope you love it!

I didn’t think the non-emergency police did that. Thanks for letting me know.

Oh shit, Jennifer …. that’s crazy. I just heard earlier about some crazy dude that escaped from the psychiatric care facility in your area a couple days ago. I guess he killed and cannibalized a few women just north of you. I was going to ask if you heard about it but forgot. I hope that wasn’t him. Now he might be hiding in your house.

I’m just fucking with you. None of it is true. lol.

I have heard amazing things about Jennifer Estep’s books so I hope you love that one there. And that seems like a pretty scary scenario! I probably would’ve done what you did…

I actually like being alone, but not when that crap happens.

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

I literally had to check every nook and cranny. It was scary.

Sometimes I get a scare when hubby works late and I wonder…is it the show I’m watching, the book I’m reading, my imagination running wild…or is someone there!

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

Exactly! I didn’t want to overreact but I seriously thought someone was in the house.

I’m thinking it’s a ghost too because what else could it have been?
