Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the book you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual.

I’m so bad, but I don’t even know how I won this but I’m happy I did. Touching Fate sounds pretty good and that mask is freaking awesome! I’m going to use it for my next Halloween costume.

For Review

I am on the blog tour for Blood in Her Veins. This book is freaking thick. 540 pages. Me and my mom guessed how many pages it was before I looked. She guessed 430 and I guessed 560. Bwahahaha! Can’t beat a reader at that game.

What books did you get this week? Have you read any of the ones I got?

Halloween Wedding Pictures! Finally!

Yes, I finally went through my Halloween wedding photos. Yay me. Now these are unedited because I am super lazy and….that’s it. So, without further ado… Oh wait, did I ever mention that my friend and I got turned away from the actually wedding ceremony because they said we were not on the list? It was held at a gated community so they took who they let in very seriously. Yeah, can you believe that shit? The whole story is long and tedious, but in the end we were on the list but by the time they figured that out the ceremony was over. So I only have pictures of the reception. I still had a fun time. Again, without further ado… Oh wait…just kidding.

This is me as the Ninja Turtle Donatello. Yes, I’m fat, now you all know my secret. LMAO. I had that walking stick I’m holding since I was 9 or 10 from a forest camping trip. I love my big stick! And yes, I have a turtle shell backpack on.

This is the wedding cake. It was delish!

The table set-up. The Bridesmaids were dressed up like troll dolls (like the one on the table) but they took off their hair for the reception so no pics. Sorry.

The candy and wedding favor table! That’s my friend I went with getting her candy on!

The Bride and Groom. Such cool outfits, right?

Naughty, naughty. Get that garter!

The Groomsmen were dressed up in Dumb and Dumber suits. Hilarious!

These were the people I was sitting next too. Theย black haired girl and blond guyย are a couple and actually dress in goth in normal life. Cool, huh?

Some fun outfits to peruse.

The Groom’s parents. Now these are cool costumes!

The Viking family.

The Superhero family.

The Pirate family.

Dancing in fog!

And these are two of my favorite costumes of the night. Beetlejuice won the costume contest!

Really, you weren’t accepted inside until the ceremony was over? I’m glad the reception was so good you got over that quickly, Jennifer!
I love your Donatello costume! I love the ninja turtles ๐Ÿ™‚ And there are lots of amazing costumes there – what a fun way to celebrate a wedding!

I love the ninja turtles too. I actually like Michelangelo better but I had the stick already and it went with Donatello, lol.

My niece said to tell you that your costume is so cool. She is being nosey this morning while I’m checking my email. That girl loves those turtles! She swears she’s April. Happy weekend!

  5. Red Iza

Even the parents wore a costume, that is so cool ! And I see you wore Japanese socks ^^ It must have been such fun even if you, sadly, missed the actual wedding ๐Ÿ™‚

Ha – you don’t remember where you won it from. Omg, that looks like it was a lot of fun. And you’re rockin the shell. Dude, that freaking hilarious about your stick. I have a bamboo stick I found by the river when I was 15 and still have it. It’s been used. lol

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

OMG, that is so cool. I love things like that that bring back good memories of childhood.

  9. Laura Thomas

What a fun idea. I was hoping Beetleguise would be there. I watch that movie every chance I get! And I love your costume. T U R T L E POWER – turtles rule! LOL

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

The other parents dressed up as fighter pilots. It was really cool they both dressed up so much.

  10. Kristin

That’s awesome. Actually.. everything about this damn post is awesome! Winning that huge prize pack that you don’t even remember entering, getting Blood in her Veins, and that Halloween wedding! I love it! It sucks that you missed the ceremony but at least they let you in for the reception. I’m sure someone has a video of the ceremony that you can watch. ๐Ÿ™‚ If we are being honest here though, the reception is where all the fun is at anyways. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

LOL, I know, the reception is always the best part, I just didn’t mention that to my friend who invited me. hehe

  11. Nathan

I loved the pic’s and the costumes are great. I have never been to a Halloween party but it sure looked like fun there, even if you missed the ceremony. Even the parents dressed up! You got Blood in her Veins and won a prize pack. I never win anything. I hope you have a great week ahead:)

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

I feel like I never win anything then all of a sudden I go on winning streaks. it’s weird.

  12. Maria Behar

Those Halloween wedding pics are hilarious!! I can see that everybody had a fabulous time! Very unique idea, too! Lol.

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

Every one had a great time, even the kids. I am excited to be in the Blood in Her Veins tour. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

Seriously, what did they think we were there for?? I guess we could have been wedding crashers. Hmmmm

  13. Jaclyn Canada

That looks like sooooo much fun! I love the Donatello costume and even better that your feet are even perfect. The flip flop and sock idea was spot on. I love all the geekdom that is happening all over the place! Love that the parents dressed up. I bet you had a blast.

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

OMG, was it your giveaway? I seriously could not remember who it was from. Sorry about that.

Studies have revealed that men favor ladies with childish faces– huge eyes, little noses, full lips,
    and a small chin.
