I started getting into reading on a regular bases in 2009. After reading every genre and honing in on where my interests lie, I started looking into erotica about 2011. One of the first erotica books/series I have ever read was Anne Rice’s Sleeping Beauty Trilogy. It was fucking crazy weird but also so interesting. It really opened my mind to new possibilities and future erotica stories. Now, I find out that the trilogy-now-series is continuing with Beauty’s Kingdom and I couldn’t be more freaking excited. Oh, and I also got Impossible Promise. LOL. Yeah, can’t really compare the two but it sounds like a good book.

What books did you get this week? Have you read any of the ones I got?

I just looked at The claiming of Sleeping Beauty on GR and I think it’s much too dark for me, but I’ll be curious to see your review. Enjoy your new books 😉

Erotica is something I just never read-I’m the kind of person who is nice and happy if there is no sex or romance in my books! It’s always exciting when a new book comes out in a series you enjoy so I hope it lives up to expectations!

Wow, Anne Rice has done a total 180 hasn’t she? First she turns her back on all her creations and goes hardcore for the Catholic Church, then decides that’s not for her and shocks the world with a new Vampire Lestat novel. Guess we shouldn’t be shocked a new Beauty novel is next . . . but I’m still a bit surprised. 🙂

I got an email for Beauty’s Kingdom, but I haven’t even read the other books. I know they’re supposed to be pretty dark, though.

It really does seem like you have been visiting some old reads soon! I am not really too much into the erotica genre but read one every now and again and usually end up liking the odd one as a guilty pleasure xD. Maybe I should try the Anne Rice one myself!
