It’s been forever since I read a Hamilton book. I was offered Crimson Death and I couldn’t pass it up. This series and I didn’t leave on the best of terms because it use to be about amazing action, mystery, and the paranormal and it turned into pure smut. But I am going to suck it up and try it once more, just for the hell of it.

What books did you get this week? Have you read any of the ones I got?

My Week

Wow, what a week. I was so busy with last minute happenings that I haven’t posted here since Wednesday. Feels weird. Some things that happened are good and I am excited to see where they go. Still have to be secretive for now.

I’ve been up for 24 hours in a row. I’m a little delirious right now, lol. Had lots of good food (Salted Caramel Pizookie!!!) and went to Morongo Casino. Won some, lost some, walked away $10 richer. lol. It’s better than losing though. Did a 3:30am Denny’s stop before we got home. Some interesting characters out at that time.

I am obsessed with the song Heathens by Twenty One Pilots. I have listned to it 100s of times. I might listen to it over and over again for about a few months. That’s my usually M.O.. Check it out:

Exactly why I stopped reading the Merry Gentry series too. It became too loaded with smut. I hope you love all of your new books this week.

Yeah, I loved that series too. Though Gentry was always sexual, but it got very heavy as the series went on.

I have tried this series yet, and I’m hesitant now since it turns smutty. No, thank you. I haven’t done an STS in a while, so I may start back soon. Happy reading!

Love the Merry Gentry series. It’s set in the Cahokia Mounds around 45 minutes from my hometown! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  4. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Yeah I had heard that about Hamilton’s books. Sad too because she’s local author for me. Though I can’t remember the last time I saw her having a signing. Hope you enjoy this one!

My STS post will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

Pizookie!!! Did you go to BJ’s? Damn, it’s been a couple of years since I’ve had one from there. Now I’m craving. I want to know your secret! If I guess correctly, will you confirm it? 😀

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

Yup, BJ’s Yes, I will confirm just don’t post it on my blog. Post on facebook, just in case certain eyes are watching. 😉

I finished with Anita Blake with book #16. I would’ve stopped at 12 to be honest but I’d already bought the next four! For me it was Anita has sex, fights with Richard, Anita finds new power/lover, fights with Richard, feels insecure, has sex, fights with Ronnie/Dolph, has sex, feels insecure, fights with Richard…ugh! LKH build a great world with interesting characters but all they do is whine, have sex and fight!!!

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

LMAO, that’s it in a nutshell. It’s either having sex, talking about sex, or fighting while thinking about sex.

  7. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

Hope you have a great week and get caught up on some sleep. 🙂

A shame that you couldn’t like the series after a while but I am a firm believer in giving things a second chance so I am so happy that you were able to do that! And 24 hours awake! Someone needs a good sleep D:

I just want more fighting and scary shit so bad. sex is fine, but it should not be the main plotline.
