So I have all three books of the Talon Saga now (is there going to be more books?) so it’s time to dig in. So excited to read Soldier soon. I was obsessed with Feehan when I first started getting into reading in 2011 so it’s time to pick her up again. Fire Bound is part of the Sea Haven series which I loved way back when.

Something a little different for me but The Vagrant sounds pretty awesome.

What books did you get this week? Have you read any of the ones I got?

My Week

Pretty average week. Just got back from good food and a movie. Watched Allegiant. I never read the book because I didn’t like how I heard it ended. But since the book is being made into two parts, I was saved from a sad ending. The action and story were well handled and entertaining. I had fun. JoAnn’s was having a big sale this week, lots of things 40% off  and copious coupons. Spent $150 in pillow stuffing, pillow forms, and some fabric. Saved $155. Pretty dang good. Though I hate knowing I spent that much. I’m usually a penny pincher. Worth the savings though.

There can be a down side to getting a lot of reading done and for me it means sacrificing TV time and films! I’ve watched ONE new film this year which is dreadful! Must do more! Have a good week…

I’m glad you had fun watching Allegiant. I’m hearing horrible things from critic’s and people who read the books. I was spoiled for the ending too and I didn’t like it so I never started the books.

I don’t know if I can handle the last movie unless they change the ending.

  3. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Ahh!!! Soldier!! Netgalley and Harlequin Teen are ignoring my desperate plea…err…request to read this one! I swear I read Rogue with them last year, but maybe not! It stinks too because before Harlequin Teen became its own imprint from Harlequin, I was able to read all the YA titles because I had auto approve for Harlequin. At least we’re getting closer to April and that’s its release month! I love Julie’s books! Happy Reading!!

My STS will be up tomorrow, stop by then if you can!

    Have a GREAT day!

I’ve been wanting to start the Talon Saga. I just need to get my hands on the first book. >.< Can't wait to read your reviews on them.

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

Now that I have a couple books, I am going to finally start the series.

  5. Lekeisha

I still have Talon on my shelf, but I think I’m gonna wait until the series finishes before reading it. Happy reading!

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

I like to wait until I have a couple of books in a series before I start it.

  6. Nathan

I haven’t seen many movies so far this year. I hope you like your books. I am working on my TBR pile ad have started House of Night novel Betrayed by P.C. and Kristin Cast.

  7. Braine

Ooh Jo-Anns! Well you have to show us what you made and I guess you’re over your bad cold. Woot!

    Happy Easter!

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

Yeah, finally over being sick. I show you what I made on Monday!

I’ve only watched the first Divergent movie. I still haven’t watched the others. I did go see Batman V Superman (BIL picked the movie), Eh. Though I will say it was not Ben Affleck’s fault. The writing was bloated. Wonder Woman was great. I’m excited for her movie whenever it comes it out. I hope you enjoy your books.

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

Yeah, I am not hearing great things about Batman vs Superman. Too bad.

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

The movie as actually pretty decent, but I can’t compare it too the book since I didn’t read the last one.

  9. Rachel Lightwood

I just refuse to watch the Divergent movies. I was furious with the casting from day one, and now that I hear so much (constant) critic of the movies, especially 2 and 3, I’m so glad I stayed away from them. I cannot believe they split Allegiant – there was zero need to do that!

But nice haul this week, Jennifer. I really need to read Kagawa’s dragon series too. I got Talon the other day when it was 99 cents so I have no excuse not to really!

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

LOL, I am so hoping the ending is changed from the books but I doubt it. I just don’t like such a devastating ending.

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

I can’t wait to dive into them now that I have most of them.

  10. Olivia Roach

I didn’t know the next book in the Talon series is coming out already! And I haven’t even read book one yet 😀 Hope the yard sale goes well! And The Vagrant looks so interesting.

  11. Jaclyn Canada

I read the first one in the Talon series, but I haven’t gotten to the others yet. I really enjoyed it so I definitely need to dive back in. I did’t read the Divergent series either because how I heard it ended. I’ve been watching the movies so far though and they’ve been good.
