Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, is all about sharing the book you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual.

Ever since I read a book with a deaf MC in it I have been hunting for more. I loved that book (I can’t tell you the title because the deaf part is a surprise) sooooo much. Fingers crossed that Tone Deaf is just as good.

What books did you get this week? Have you read any of the ones I got?

My Week

So I will be at The Huntington Library while most of you read this. I had to go for a University project a few years back and I loved it. It’s pretty much like a museum (art, history, sculptures) with a lot of different types of gardens (Japanese, Australian, rose…). It’s so pretty. I will post pictures later this week.

I wanted to share two trailers today. One is for the TV show Lucifer that just started a month or so ago. I am in love with this show and the guy playing the Devil. I would highly recommend it. It’s funny, a little creepy, and we get some good mystery stories.

I don’t care if the new Ghostbusters movie ends up being stupid, I am so freaking excited for it to come out. I love the actors and I loved the original, so I will enjoy myself no matter what.

I wish I had a bit more time for culture! I barely seem to have time to do anything outside of the house at the moment! I didn’t like the original Ghostbusters films either so you’re not alone there! Have a good week!

  2. Bee @ Quite the Novel Idea

I saw that book on Edelweiss! 😀 I’m not very sure about it so I’m waiting for some reviews from friends. 🙂

My boyfriend is watching Lucifer! 😀 He loves it so far. And I never saw the original Ghostbusters *GASP* but I liked this trailer, so? XD

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

Hells yeah for Lucifer!!! You need to go find Ghost Busters right now and watch it!

  3. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Nice! I’m excited about the Ghostbusters movie!! Though feeling confused now because it almost looks like a sequel of sorts. But I thought it was supposed to stand on its own from the original movies? So confusing, but I’m still seeing it!! Nice haul too! It’s a new to me one but I hope you enjoy it!

My STS will be up tomorrow so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

Now you have me really curious about the book that you didn’t want to name that has a deaf MC. Tone Deaf sounds really good. I’ll be on the lookout for that when it’s released.

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

I can’t say because it would spoil it for other people. PM me on twitter or email me if you want to know.

I’m excited for Ghostbusters too. I love the originals, but there’s nothing wrong with modernising something. Happy Saturday!

It is good to have diversity in main charterers. It better reflects society (us) and may (hopefully) try to give you a idea of their POV. Besides if all main charterers were the same I would eventually get board with them.
The Ghostbusters might be a good funny film to see.

Oh my gosh, I’m so in love with it too! It is so much fun and he is freaking hilarious! The last episode was such a cliffhanger with his wings! I need more!!!

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

OMG, his wings!!! The actor is so good. His eyes creep me out.

This is the first I’ve watched the Ghostbuster trailer! I think it looks funny. I was worried they make it too cheesy, but it looks like they did a good job. And yes to Lucifer. Mmmm

    • Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)

It might be silly but I know I am going to laugh my ass off with Ghostbusters.

My dad is a huge ghost busters fan so I can envision us all going to see that one when it comes out! Tone Deaf looked so good but I have quite a few review copies at the moment so I skipped over that one. I hope you enjoy it though!

One of my friends has been trying to get me into watching Lucifer but I always forget to get it recorded on my DVR. I’ve heard some great things though. I also really want to see the new Ghostbusters! I’m like you, I still want to see it even if it ends up being cheesy. I just loved the original so I’m really looking forward to what they come up with for this one.
