Valentina “Vale” Zamora is a twenty-eight-year-old executive with a global travel wholesaler and fresh out of a contentious and unfulfilling marriage in which her ex-husband left her for a stripper. Slowly piecing her shattered self-esteem back together, she jets off to Paris in search of some retail therapy and, if she’s lucky, a steamy distraction to bring her some sexual excitement—and maybe even some life insight.
Sex is definitely on her mind, but a relationship is not. So when she finds herself sitting on the flight next to a mysterious and sultry self-made millionaire, her heart races and her body tingles like never before. A mutual attraction quickly emerges, and after a steamy in-flight make-out session, Vale decides to pursue him as her sexual tutor.
An erotic escapade unfolds against the backdrop of Paris, but will their unbridled lust be a tragic error in judgment, or will it be the beginning of a deep and lasting love?
At A Glance
Nothing special but I still enjoyed it.
The Good
I have to be honest, if I wasn’t in the mood I am right now, this would have been a 3 starer. But I am into easy, no-thinking kind of stories. Yummy Addiction was a good ol’ erotic romance.
After getting divorced, Vale goes on a trip to Paris to get it on with a random, hot French dude. But before she get’s her groove back, she meets a hottie on the plane and they spend an erotic and luxurious few days together. At the end of the trip Jason wants more, but Vale is reluctant because of her past and because of the secrets Jason seems adamant on keeping.
Paris, a yummy man, and all the leisure time in the world to have lots of sex. What more does a girl need? I had so much fun with this one. Jason was such a passionate and caring person. He has a lot of mystery surrounding him, which only made him more interesting. Vale embraces her time with Jason in Paris, but I wish she was willing to risk more for a chance at a real relationship.
The story ends on a cliffhanger, which didn’t bother me. It worked because I am dying to read book 2 to see where this all goes.
The Bad
Vale was way too insecure and played the victim every chance she had. I got so tired of her turning down Jason’s reasonable offers because she was scared she might get hurt again. I get it, but how long are you going to push someone good away for past hurts? It was too much.
I felt like I was reading a story with product placements. The company name and clothing label dropping was nonstop. It took me away from the story.
The Snuggly
Not as heavy on sex as most erotica, but enough to keep things hot and steamy. Jason and Vale had great chemistry.
Final Thoughts
There is nothing special about Yummy Addictions but it is a good erotic read. I would be interested to see what book 2 has in store. Recommended.
Quotes
“I really love spending hours just talking with him, dancing with him. God, he’s a great dancer, his moves!” I sigh dreamily. “We have similar interests. He’s funny as hell, but mostly it’s scary because it was so easy to be myself with him. “
“Vale, I don’t see the problem.”
“What if this is just a phase and tomorrow I meet someone else and feel the same emotions, excitement? Is it my whoremones”–I chuckle–“ruling me or something more?”
“Nice, whoremones, did you learn that in France? I think I might coin it.” She snickers.

Even if it’s not original, sometimes it’s nice to have a story like that.

I agree.

I think we all need reads once in a while that are pure fluff, at least I know I do. Glad this gave you that. 😉

Yes, every now and then a light book is good. The same can be true for erotic books, they need the right time though to work. And maybe less competition, at least it can be that way with me.
Glad it was enjoyable.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Yup, same for erotic books. Timing is everything.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Oh yeah, this was a fluff week for me.
Kristin
Bummer. This could have been a really fun erotica. I must admit that I’m a bit thrown at it being an erotica and not having a lot of sex in it. :\
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
There is a lot but not as much as most eroticas I read. It’s a very light erotica.

Ahh, brain candy is always nice to have around. Great that you at least had fun with this one.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Having fun is the most important thing in reading fiction I think.

Sounds like she’s a girl you’d be wondering what on earth shes thinking when she’s go everything going so well. Glad it was a fun book that hit the spot. I don’t think I’ve heard of product placement in a book. I notice one or two brands sometimes, but have never seen it overused. That’s kinda crazy!
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
OMG, it was so obvious in this book. I have never noticed product placement before this book.

The female lead sounds irritating >.<
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Soooo irritating.
Braine Talk Supe
Makes you wonder if she got paid for the ad placements. J.R. Ward’s books recent books are like that too, so annoying.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
What!? That is so stupid, Whyyyyy do authors do this? Ugh.
anna (herding cats & burning soup)
Well glad it got ya when you were in the right mood for it 😀 Those can be good now and again. Just the middle of the road reads.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Yeah, not too much thinking, just fun.
