The Good
Burn for Me, the first book of the series, was really good. It was hard not to compare it to the Kate Daniels series since the Kate Daniels series is my holy grail. Burn for Me did not reach the levels of the Kate Daniels series. White Hot did! I get it now. I see the amazingness of Kate Daniels in the Hidden Legacy series.
White Hot picks up a couple months after Burn for Me. Nevada takes on a murder case that’s way above her head but she has her family and Rogan to help her. OMG, this one hit hard in the feels. I wanted to cry a bit for the people who were lost, but mostly for the people they left behind. It was nice to learn more about Cornelius and have him become more involved in the series. His talent is scary. His daughter is so adorable I want to eat her up! Gotta clean those kitty eyes!
We get a lot deeper into the world Andrews created and we get to know a lot more about Nevada and Rogan. Nevada’s magic is growing and it’s getting the attention of some bad people. We learn about her family members’ magic as well. Their shit is cray-cray. We also learn about Rogan and his time in the military. Finally we understand why he is the way he is.
The mystery and action were on point. Lots of Prime politics and conspiracy theories to keep the book interesting. I love when series get better with each book because it’s so hard to achieve, but the Andrews know their shit.
I will admit, I went back and forth between 4.5 to 5 stars for White Hot. So I’m giving it a soft 5 for now because I was hardcore obsessed with this book the whole read.

Oh yeah, that’s what I am talking about. Bow chicka wow wow. Nevada and Rogan sex is hot and tingly.
Final Thoughts
I didn’t think it was possible but Hidden Legacy is becoming just as good as the Kate Daniels series, just in a different way. Very highly recommended.
