She's dreaming of a life of excitement and romance.

When rising rock star Joe Hawk wanders into the diner where Liss works her dark night is brightened by his incredibly blue eyes and sexy smile. The attraction is immediate and every moment is charged with erotic heat.

He's searching for something real.

The first impression is easy. Taking the next step is much harder. The plus sized beauty has to overcome her insecurities to take a risk on a man whose life is the opposite of everything she's ever known and changing faster than either of them realizes.

From the first electric touch their chemistry is undeniable and the possibilities are endless.

At A Glance

Good for a free book.

The Good

You guys know I love rock star romances. So I wasn’t going to pass up a free one. Rocked was pretty good. Joe is the sweet rock star and Liss is the average girl with insecurities about her body. Normal but interesting too. The story goes by fast since it’s a novella, but its adorable overall. The couple was cute together and I can see them having a future. Though more could have happened in this book, I am actually interested to see what happens in book 2 with how this one ended. Right when things were getting interesting!

The Bad

No twists, turns, or surprises, and it was way too short. It needed something more.

The Snuggly

There is some sex and it was good but not outstanding. I like how Liss wasn’t afraid to have a fling, never knowing if she was going to see Joe again. My kind of woman.

Final Thoughts

If the second book was free, I would grab it. I am interested to see what happens next. But no, it’s not that great of a book. But I couldn’t give it 2.5 stars since I am interested in book 2 in some aspect. Kind of recommended.

Quotes

“Stay with me. Come with me. Live inside this storm for a while. We can keep each other from flying apart. I don’t want to wake up without you again, Liss.”

“Love is a fire that can nurture or destroy, but you can’t tell which until you surrender to the flames.”

I hope the second will be a little better. I didn’t know about this one but I don’t know… though I should try more rock star books.

Yeah, I would only recommend it if the second book was good. I LOVE rockstar books!

I love rock star romances as well, I have no idea why other than the bad boy music appeal. Sorry this didn’t have that extra umph to make it really something special.

Yeah, it was just so average. I guess I probably should have given it 2.5 stars. I don’t know!

Yeah, these shorter books in a serial tend to need more. Haha – she wasn’t afraid to hook up .. my kinda woman too. 😀

I swear, can’t girls just have some fun and move on like boys??? Seriously!!! I like books that show that.
