The worldwide phenomenon continues as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires… From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn’t resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside—so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat.

No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I’d been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.

Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession…

I've been a bad bird. This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years old due to its use of sexual content, substance use, and/or violence. Come be a bad bird with me!

At A Glance

A steamy filler book

The Good

The sex is still amazing. I swear, it’s so ridiculously steamy and hot I get embarrassed reading it in public, which is rare for me. But Gideon and Eva did connect more on an emotional level which I liked.

Gideon does finally open up a little bit. I feel like I know him better, but I still wanted more.

I enjoyed the story in the sense that I love the series so I still want to continue it and see what happens next.

The Bad

This has become a repetitive mess. The same arguments, the same problems, the same relationship. Almost nothing is progressing, no one is learning a lesson or trying better. Gideon is the same closed, secretive Gideon for the majority of the book. Eva is still whining but barely doing anything to make her situation better. Where is my active pacing, strong plot, and resolution? Okay, okay, Gideon and Eva make a little progress but not enough for me.

The Snuggly

Lots of sex and more BDSM than the previous books. It’s really the best part of Entwined with You which I don’t know if that’s a good thing or bad thing.

Final Thoughts

I am reading the next book of the series but I am disappointed with this installment. I am thinking this book could have been cut and the series would have been better for it. Kinda but not really recommended.

Quotes

“Angel, a crowd of millions couldn’t hide you from me. I found you once. I’ll always find you.”

“If souls could be mated with wishes, ours would be inextricably entwined.”

“I look at you, angel, and I want you so badly. I want to be with you, listen to you, talk to you. I want to hear you laugh and hold you when you cry. I want to sit next to you, breathe the same air, share the same life. I want to wake up to you like this every day forever. I want you.”

This is the instalment where Sylvia Day lost me – I guess she’ll recover, lol ! I’ll try other books by her, but bye-bye Gideon and Eva !

Yeah, she almost lost me but I am too obsessed with the series to really give up.

I agree with everything you said. I still kind of love these books, but they’re just the same thing rehashed over and over again. There’s nothing new, and that kind of sucks. 🙁

I absolutely love Bared To You!! I’m gonna start Reflected In You next week, so I’ll see how it goes. Hopefully, I’ll make it to this book if I survive Gideon. That man is something else! I just want to know what happened to him and kiss him to make it better. I loved Bared To You so much, let’s just say my fiancee didn’t know what hit him afterwards but he slept with a smile 😉

It really was good before. I don’t know what the hell is happening!

Yeah, sucks big time. It would have been 2 stars if not for my love for the series overall.

This author seems to be very popular because I even see her books around here in a translated version! I am glad to see that there was more of an emotional connection aside from the very steamy physical one as well 😀 It’s a shame about the repetition though, I hate when that happens to me in books.

I keep hearing about this author, I need to try one day but it’s too bad about the repetitions like that, it’s always so annoying…

I wish this was just a duo instead of a series. The first two where good.

I’ve heard a lot of comparison of this series with fifty shades – is it better? I haven’t actually read it yet – glad you could enjoy the series for the most part.
