Being a professional escort comes with its vices. To keep women from getting too clingy, stop them from dropping their panties, and silence them before they can blurt the L word, Rhett has made certain rules. He never breaks them.
Ever.
1. No Kissing.
2. No Feelings.
3. And definitely, absolutely, no sex.But when Aspen, a beautiful brunette, hires him to help repair her image to her family, things get complicated. Rhett's never had a problem separating work from pleasure. But now work and pleasure seem to be one and the same.
At A Glance
A very cute book with an unrealistic ending.
The Good
I love escort type books. These male escorts don’t sleep with clients, they accompany them to events or pretend to be boyfriends and so on. I find that stuff fascinating. That’s why I had to read Beautiful Entourage.
There was nothing amazing about this book but I loved reading it. I fell in love with Rhett and Aspen’s friendship. Too feel that comfortable with someone is rare. Seriously, their slow friendship into romance was perfect. I think Aspen and Rhett as individual characters were good, but together they were great. They represented everything I would want in a relationship. It’s not explosive per se, it’s sweet and natural. Like best friends with benefits.
I enjoyed the story. Aspen could take over the world and heal it if she was given the change. Rhett could make all the ladies panties melt off with his good looks and cute personality. Aspen’s best friend was freaking hilarious!!! Aspen’s dad was horrible which made things interesting. Then there was Aspen’s ex’s fiancé who was a psycho bitch. A good amount of conflict and romance in this one. I really enjoyed it.
The Bad
That ending really sucked. I won’t reveal who but a certain character forgives another certain character and it just didn’t make sense. No one changes that much in a span of one day. NO ONE. And no one should forgive years of awful behavior from another human being in a matter of a day. It was corny and unrealistic. HATED IT!
The Snuggly
We get a few sex scenes and they are pretty hot, but most of the sex is glances over. I like that it didn’t dominate the book.
Final Thoughts
A very good read. I loved the slow romance/friendship. The concept was fun and the side characters added the right amount of drama. Very recommended.
Quotes
We arrived at her apartment and she unlocked the door. “I get you until midnight, right?”
“Yep.”
“Well, I want the most bang for my buck. Come in.”
I walked inside then eyed the flowers I brought. They lightened up the room.
“Want to play Battleship?”
Did she just asked me that? “Battleship?”
“Yeah, You’ve never played it?” She picked up the box from the couch and look at me.
Seeing a beautiful woman in a floor length gown that sparkled, along with elegantly curled hair and just the right amount of makeup, holding a child’s game was naturally disconcerting it was the last thing I expected her to say, “I just wasn’t expecting you to ask?”
She narrowed her eyes at me. “Do you suck?”

🙂 Enjoy.
Melissa (Books and Things)
Despite the ending this does sound good. I’m an ending girl so I know that will affect me but it is good to know that it was way too easy. Glad you enjoyed it otherwise!
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
I know, endings are important. It sucked in that way.

Even if the ending was disappointed it’s great to see that you had a wonderful time with the novel!
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
I am grateful the rest was good.

Sometimes books aren’t mindblowing but they are simply enjoyable and because of that, they make it out to be a good read! I am glad you could enjoy this one so much even though the ending was a bit far-fetched.
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
Yeah, mind-blowing is hard to find.

UGH that forgiving someone for something unrealistic has happened to me before and completely ruined the book IMO. Great review!
Jennifer (Bad Bird Reads)
It really does ruin the book in some way. But still, a good overall read.
