Alayna Withers has only had one kind of relationship: the obsessive, crazy stalker kind. Now that Hudson Pierce has let her into his heart, she’s determined to stay away from her past tendencies and develop their love into more than just amazing sex. At least Hudson is as dedicated to her as she is to him, though she could do without his new found jealousy and need to control everything. To complicate matters, Hudson has his own baggage including a penchant for mind games and a hateful alcoholic mother who’s set on destroying any happiness he might find with Alayna.

Love it! A great sequel to Fixed On You. I’m loving the characters and the direction of their relationship.
The only thing better than finding a new amazing read, is seeing improvement in the next book of a series. There was an obvious improvement from Fixed On You to Found In You. The plot was more cohesive, the characters were so much more likable, and the feeling of the book was so much more positive. Found In You almost bordered on a 4.5 star rating, just barely missing the mark.
Alayna really has changed. She has little obsessive moments, but for the most part she seems over her past stalkerish behavior. And who wouldn’t be all better with Hudson by their side? I loved watching Alayna kick ass in business. She’s always coming up with great and new business ideas and it made me respect her a lot. Alayna tried really hard to make things work with Hudson. They are both still kind of screwed up in a lot of ways, but their flaws make them perfect for each other. But I am happy that Alayna didn’t let Hudson walk all over her. She fought for what she believed was right, no matter how much it hurt to fight with someone she loved.
Hudson is a whole new man. Sure, there is always this inkling in the back of the readers mind that maybe he is playing Alayna like he played all the people in his past, but he is obviously in new territory with Alayna. He may not be able to say ‘I love you’ but he knows how to show it. He treats Alayna like a princess, even if he is a bit forceful and smothering sometimes. Hudson is a dominate alpha male for sure, but we also see his sweet side this time around. His appetite for sex hasn’t changed. He is always ready for a romp in the sheets, sometimes even resorting to sex to try to fix things. And let’s be real, sometimes sex does fix things. So I give him an A for effort. 🙂 Hudson still has some issues to work on but I see him doing whatever he needs to to make Alayna happy.
I can’t say too much on the plot since almost anything I say would give away too much, but let’s just say I was shocked by how things went down. The evidence was all there but I didn’t put it together till the very end. I loved the twists and turns Paige threw in to keep us guessing. I was heartbroken when everything went down and Hudson wasn’t as solid as I thought he was, but I think everything worked out for the best.
The best part was never really knowing who to trust throughout the whole novel. If I was in Alayna’s shoes, I don’t think I could have done any better in picking out the liars from the honest people. And, oh my, the secrets that were revealed in this book made it so much more juicy. The pacing was great and the characters kept me reading way into the night. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
A little predictable in parts and I think there was some potential untapped.
First off, I am so happy Hudson and Alayna are actually truly together this time around. It makes reading about them so much more enjoyable. They have amazing chemistry that literally melts the pages (or maybe that was all my heavy panting). I love the direction their relationship is going. They have their fights, their disagreements, but they always find their way back to each other’s arms.
The sex was H. O. T. Definitely an adult read, some would even see this as erotica. I really don’t know how these people have so much sex. Alayna must have a vagina made out of steel.
I would very much recommend this series to anyone. It’s different because the characters are a little crazy and sometimes unlikable but they grow on you. The lies, secrets, and deceit are never ending which keeps things exciting. And the romance and sex alone make the whole book worth it. Very recommended.
“If you want possessive alpha male, I can certainly comply.”
“Has it ever crossed your mind that I might have done things you could never forgive?”
Hudson lifted my chin to meet his stare. “I want you.”
The look on his face – he wasn’t upset by my outburst at all. Other men had been scared away by similar unfounded accusations. But Hudson-not only did his expression show an absence of fear, it showed hunger, desire. Almost as though my paranoia was a turn-on.
“You have me,” I whispered.
He leaned back in to rub his nose against mine. “If you acted as smart as you are, you would have stood me up weeks ago.”
“Good thing I don’t act smart.”
“Good thing for me, yes.”
“I’d never be a normal girl and Hudson would never be a normal guy, but perhaps we’d found the closest thing to normal that we’d ever be capable of achieving. And it was pretty damn good.”
His gray eyes searched mine for long seconds. “How does it feel to belong to me?”
I didn’t know if he was still playing or not. For me, the game was over. It was with sincerity that I answered. “Perfect.”
Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine. She is represented by Bob Diforio of D4EO Literary Agency.
