Sometimes I just want to talk about random crap. No theme, no rules, just…whatever. That’s where I Do What I Want posts come in. This is where I…well, do whatever the hell I want. Enjoy…and be very afraid.

I am going to a Blink 182, All American Rejects, and A Day to Remember concert on Friday. It’s been a while since I went to a concert. I feel all nostalgic because my first concert was with Blink 182, that was about 15 years ago. Crazy!!! I have been to a lot of converts since then. Chevelle has always been my favorite concert memories. I drank out of the same water bottle at the bassist! hehe. And I was always in the front row, in the mosh pit. It’s dangerous there but I love how exhilarating it is. I’ve seen people get carted off with blood all over them. A bash in the head or a fingernail ripped out. Craziness!

Ozzfest was freaking amazing too!!!! I saw Ozzy, Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Korn, and Chevelle. Wow, what a line up. I got to meet them all except for Ozzy. I got a lot of compliments on my red hat. lol, I know, random. 30 Seconds to Mars was also an awesome experience. I touched Jared Leto’s arm!!!!! So freaking fun, every show. Oh, and all the autographs I collected. I keep them in one book. Pages and pages. Souvenirs too, all sealed up. Guitar picks, drumsticks, shirts, the list goes on.

That’s just a glimpse of my concert days. Oh the stories I could tell. Shhh… 😉

If any of you feel so inclined I would love to hear about your concert experiences or a least who you saw.

My very first concert was Gary Wright in Flint, Michigan. I guess that dates me a bit. LOL I still love going, but now I want to sit down…at least til I’ve had a few cocktails. Then, well…I hope you have a great time!

I can still handle the mosh pit but I can tell it’s getting a little old for me already.

Ya know it’s funny your talking about this because just this past week I found a handful of concerts I want to go to. My friend told me that Backstreet Boys are doing a Vegas thing next year and I was over the moon with excitement. However, the day the tickets went on sale, the majority of them were scalped and we weren’t able to find seats together. We figured, “oh well”, and I went to buy the tickets anyways… it was going to cost me over $200 for the last row or seats… for ONE ticket. Not to mention the airfare, hotel, and food cost on top of that. All so I could see some old dudes try to sing for 45 mins. I told my friend I’d rather buy their “vintage” tee’s (ugh I can’t believe my teens days are considered vintage), make a bunch of food, decorate with old posters, and have a BSB cd party or something. LoL I’m just WAY to frugal to be dropping that much money on a concert. >.< Heck, I remember my first concert being Boys II Men with Destiny's Child being the opening act and my ticket was only $20! LoL It's insane how much tickets are today.

Anyway, I hope you have fun at the concert. LoL I never got to see Blink182 since the tickets sold out. But I did spend the entire day/night at the fair along the fence-line behind the stage, hoping to get a glimpse of them coming out of the tour bus. It paid off because I was able to meet Mark after the show when he came out to sign autographs. My mom wasn't too thrilled with me calling at 1am to come and pick me up though. LoL

Yeah, I am too frugal to spend $200 on concert tickets. Too rich for my blood. But that would have been fun. But for sucky seats, no way. That is so cool you got to meet Mark! So jealous!

Seriously, it gets rough out there. We had people bleeding and everything.

You’ve seen some great ones!! I love concerts, but I haven’t been in a while other than a small Uncle Kracker show a couple of weeks ago. I’ve seen Slipknot, Typo Negative, Godsmack, Metallica, Kid Rock, Korn, Powerman 5000, System of a Down, Seether, Breaking Benjamin, Disturbed, HIM, Buckcherry, Shinedown, Three Doors Down, Three Days Grace, Flyleaf and more. Buckcherry was actually boo’d when I saw them but I loved them. I would love seeing Blink 182!

OMG, you have seen so many I want to see. Like Three Days Grace and System of a Down.
