**Warning: This book is a wild, sexy beast of a read. 18+**

Putting a woman on her knees before me is what really makes my cock hard. I fuck with dominant force and absolute control. I demand complete surrender from my conquests.

Savage man, loner, warrior… I am dangerous at my core. I have lived amidst the untamed wild of the rainforest, in a society that reveres me and where every woman falls before me in subjugation.

Now I’ve been discovered. Forced to return to a world that I have forgotten about and to a culture that is only vaguely familiar to my senses.

Dr. Moira Reed is an anthropologist who has been hired to help me transition back into modern society. It’s her job to smooth away my rough edges… to teach me how to navigate properly through this new life of mine. She wants to tame me.

She’ll never win.

I am wild, free and raw, and the only thing I want from the beautiful Moira Reed is to fuck her into submission.

She wants it, I am certain.

I will give it to her soon.

Yes, very soon, I will become the teacher and she will become my student. And when I am finished showing her body pleasure like no other, she’ll know what it feels like to be claimed by an uncivilized man.

I've been a bad bird. This book may be unsuitable for people under 17 years old due to its use of sexual content, substance use, and/or violence. Come be a bad bird with me!

At A Glance

One of the best eroticas I have ever read.

The Good

I don’t even know why I loved this book so much. Some of you may remember that when I got this book last week and put it on my Stacking the Shelves, I was stupidly excited about it. I actually stopped reading another book midway through to read Uncivilized. And I am happy I did. This book just called to me. I like a rough book, be it about sex, violence, romance, or supernatural creatures. I loved being surprised, and Uncivilized surprised me. Through all the sex and “Me Tarzan, you Jane, now get on bended knee” stuff, I found a beautiful story about two people from different worlds trying to find a happy medium.

Moira was a great mixture of strong/independent and submissive. She didn’t let Zach walk all over her, except for the sex part, that was when she lost control and loved it. I find anthropology fascinating. I took cultural anthro in school and it changed how I looked at the world. So Moira being an anthropologist was one of the best parts of the book. It was also fun watching her struggle with the ethical dilemma of screwing her subject of study. So naughty, lol.

Zach made this book for me. He really started out uncivilized, and he relished his uniqueness. Though he grew up a lot in this book, he never lost his primitive nature. He never apologized for his rough play or dominant attitude. As well he shouldn’t. He was perfect just the way he was. I loved watching him assimilate to our world of technology and rules. He was a fast learner, even when he pretended not to be. Zach is the kind of person who knows what he wants and doesn’t hesitate to take it. You couldn’t help but admire him for his tenacity and vigor.

Uncivilized also provided some great side characters and sub-plots. The writing was well done in every way. I was completely absorbed in this book the whole time. It was sexy and entertaining with a side of feels. It’s going to be hard for anyone to read this book and not have fun.

The Bad

Yeah, I will admit it, Zach assimilated to civilized life a little too easily. For someone who lived in the wilds of the Amazon for the majority of his life, I would have expected more of a learning curve when it came to technology and stuff.

And yes, this book is very heavy on the sex, which might annoy people looking for a deeper book.

The Snuggly

So. Much. Sex. And I loved every minute of it. Okay, okay, I might have, near the end, said, “Enough already,” with all the bumping and grinding…and licking and sucking and biting and…woah, sorry, a little too much overshare there. I still loved Zach and Moira’s relationship. It was obviously complicated to the max since it was like they lived on two different planets. Their customs and norms were so different that it often frustrated the other when they didn’t act ‘normal.’ But that’s the point of this book. Can Moira civilize Zach and does Zach want to be civilized? And the answer is yes…no…both.

The sex was hot, rough, animalistic, and a little bdsm at times. I loved how playful Zach was about sex and how Moira was so open to his dominance. They had some delicious times together, have no doubt.

Final Thoughts

If you are even slightly interested in erotica, then please try this book out. Uncivilized will have a special place in my depraved heart for all time. It just works, what else can I say? Highly recommended.

Quotes

Her touch is war and caring, and it gives e a measure of peace. “I don’t want to hurt you,” I tell her honestly. “I always feel like I’m getting ready to lose control when I’m with you. I want to possess you so thoroughly, and I’m afraid I might hurt you in the process.”

“You…. Zacharias Easton… are an uncivilized man.”

“You cannot got around attacking people because they do something you don’t like. You most certainly can’t try to kill someone for putting his hands on me. Do you understand-?”

“I most certainly can kill someone for putting his hands on you. I am my own man. Don’t ever forget that, Moira.”

“I am finding I like my new vocabulary. Cock, pussy, and fuck. My three new favorite English words. I want to shove my cock in her pussy and fuck her hard.”

I have been seeing this book everywhere online and the more I see it, the more I want to read it. I really enjoy reading about dominant male characters; they are quite fun 😉
    Awesome review! 🙂

  2. Giselle

Oh wow this sounds like a really good book and I love the Tarzan-like storyline. I have only read a couple of eroticas but I like the change of pace from the innocent YA novels, you know! Lol! I will def. keep an eye out for this one. I love getting a book that makes you quit everything to read it, and it ends up being all you had hoped for! And too much sex in erotica? Nevah! Lol!

It’s funny, because it seems like Tarzan-based books are popping up now all of a sudden.

It says a great deal about it that you stopped another book to read this one. I deeply enjoy surprises as well. It sounds like a great erotica with a fantastic story involved. Wonderful review!

Yeah, I couldn’t help myself. It was gnawing at the back of my head saying, “Read me!”

  4. Braine

This reminds me of that old porn movie Tarzan X! LOL albeit a better version but it so does with all the sex. Anyway, so happy that it was all worth it and it has substance. I tire of pornrotica however this sounds like fun and worth checking out!

LOL, Tarzan X…I knew you were a wild girl! Now I kinda want to watch it.

I still haven’t read anything by Sawyer Bennett yet! But if she’s one of the best, I’ll definitely have to fix that soon–I know I have half a dozen books at least 😉

This is the second book I have read from her and I have loved her both times.
