Some people have everything figured out — Andrea Nash is not one of those people. After being kicked out of the Order of Knights of Merciful Aid, Andrea’s whole existence is in shambles. All she can do is try to put herself back together, something made easier by working for Cutting Edge, a small investigative firm owned by her best friend, Kate Daniels.
When several shapeshifters working for Raphael Medrano — the male alpha of Clan Bouda and Andrea’s former lover — die unexpectedly at a dig site, Andrea is assigned to investigate … and must work with Raphael. As her search for the killer leads her into the secret underbelly of supernatural Atlanta, Andrea knows that dealing with her feelings for Raphael might have to take a backseat to saving the world …
Okay, yeah, I am a little late in revealing this cover but I had to put it up on my blog because Ilona Andrews is my favorite author of all time. But, alas, I can’t say I love this cover. It’s just okay. But I think we all know Andrews is not known for her awesome covers, just her awesome stories. So what does everyone else think?

I agree with you. I love her stories, but not wild about that cover. For all it’s trying to be, it’s not dark or gritty enough.

True, it’s not dark or gritty enough.

I kind of like the cover, even though I have yet to read a book in this series. I can hardly wait for this one to come out too.

I am happy to hear that you like it. I rather it just be me because Ilona Andrews is awesome and I want people to read her books.

I kind of like the cover. It shows the city behind Andrea, which I find cool, for this world anyway. 🙂 I need to get caught up with the stories, and get into this one as well.

I do like the city. I think it’s the cartoonish look that bothers me.

You know, I don’t mind the cover… as far as Kate Daniels world goes? This is a masterpiece. SO much better than Magic Bites.
As far as UF covers go, I quite like it… 😀
But yeah… I’m reading through your comments, and as much as I hate the KD book covers, the do have this air of dark/gritty/magic, etc? This… not so much. Mo well! Heres to them getting better 😀
