Series: Dark Secrets #1
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Since their release in 2011, Books 1 & 2 from the Dark Secrets series have come together, presented as one great book for one low price.
How can you be attracted to a guy who just said he wants to kill you?
Ara-Rose asks herself the same question. She’s been torn away from her old life, thrown into a new one in a new country, and in the midst of death, heartache and depression, she finds herself in love with a vampire—one who kills people with his teeth!
But the vampire is forbidden to fall for this human, and at the point Ara-Rose decides she can’t live without him, he pulls away and leaves her falling back to the darkness he woke her from. She will be caught up in a century-old feud among brothers, and the fight for love becomes a fight for her life.
The only question now is whether her beloved vampire will find her in time, or leave her to face a destiny he triggered with their first kiss.
A.M.: Romantic paranormal mystery.
A.M.: Most challenging would be flushing out the plot—skipping past the first and most obvious choices, and doing something abstract yet believable. Funny enough, that was also the most fun. Although, the best part about writing this series really has been sharing it with my feedback team and making new friends.
A.M.: Uuuummm. There are so many that fit this series. Each book would have a different one. I’d say Hurricane by Thirty Seconds to Mars would be a good fit for book 1.
A.M.: We’ve debated long and hard over this on Facebook, because no one really fits. My choice for David and Jase might be Asher Book. Mike would be Chris Hemsworth, but not so muscly (like when he’s Thor). Ara might be Kathryn Newton. Arthur would be Ewan McGregor.
A.M.: I can sing. I almost started up a duet with my bass-player husband, but the book series took off and left me with too little time. I never finished high school. I cannot lick my elbow. And, yes, I tried.
A.M.: My hands
A.M.: Every single book I’ve ever loved has made me want to write. And every book I ever disliked made me want to write one better. So, yes, all books have influenced my stories and my choice of career.
A.M.: Lies in Blood, book 4 of Dark Secrets. But I’m also working on the Elora series, which is a continuation of Dark Secrets, from another character’s POV.
A.M.: Thanks so much for having me, and if anyone wants to come chat on Facebook, I make a point of answering all messages and comments. I’d love to get to know you all.
She fell in love with her husband at just sixteen, and since then, has added three boys to the mix.
Some of her heroes are Stephen King, Walt Disney, Hamish and Andy, Muse and 30 Seconds to Mars, and with influences like these, one can only imagine what stories will unfold.
